Hook-in: Gloria's Recipes

Several of our members had a lovely afternoon of friendship, food, and hooking projects at Gloria's two weeks ago. The food was a hit. Here are Gloria's recipes. --Patti

Artisan Bread
3 cups lukewarm water
1 1/2 tsp. granulated yeast
1 1/2 tsp. kosher salt
6 !/2 cups flour
Cornmeal for dusting.
Add yeast and salt to water, mix with flour. Kneading is not necessary. Mix with wooden spoon. It will be moist, wet, and loose). Let it rise (Cover with lid) for two hours. Place in fridge for up to a week. Shape into loaves or use for pizza. Rest loaf or pizza base for 20 minutes, dust the bread with cornmeal and slash with a knife before baking in a 450 degree oven for 30 minutes. Put a tray of hot water in the oven while baking for a crusty bread.
